City of Design

Since 1999, Graz can proudly claim a UNESCO World Heritage Site – the Eggenberg Palace – as its own. Eleven years on, the site was extended to encompass the historic old town around Castle Hill. And since 2013, the city is also the proud bearer of the “City of Design” title and therefore now belongs to the UNESCO Creative Cities network.

The city takes its commitment to promoting and nurturing the creative sector seriously. But this is just one facet of the Design City label. Another key objective is to express the design aspect through consciously shaping the city’s living environment.

You will come across design at every twist and turn in Graz. Whether at a museum, on building facades, in shops or in public spaces. Take the time to explore your surroundings for inspiration during your conference. Pick up ideas that you can adopt and refine for your own business.

Graz – a source of inspiration for your next event.
